EXTENDED, OVERNIGHT & 24/7 CARE
Extended and 24/7 non-medical home-care schedules.
When a short visit does not cover the hours your family needs, Peacemaker can discuss longer daytime shifts, overnight support and 24/7 non-medical schedules in Louisville and surrounding areas. The care team confirms the plan and staffing before care begins.
THE SHORT ANSWER
What families should know first
Extended care may include longer daytime shifts, overnight support or multiple caregivers covering a 24/7 plan. Exact availability must be confirmed for the location, needs and requested hours.
Questions to ask about overnight care
Families sometimes call this a night sitter. Describe what help is needed at bedtime, during the night and in the morning so the care team can discuss a suitable non-medical plan.
- Does the requested plan call for an awake caregiver, and can that shift be staffed?
- What tasks and hours would the agreed overnight plan cover?
- How would handoffs, family updates and changes to coverage be handled?
- Who should the family contact outside office hours?
Important: Confirm these arrangements with the care team before relying on overnight coverage. Overnight support is not medical monitoring or emergency response.
Schedule patterns are built around the need
Longer daytime shifts
Coverage across the part of the day when routines, meals or supervision require more help.
Overnight support
A non-medical presence during evening and overnight hours when the assessed plan supports it.
24/7 schedules
Coordinated caregiver coverage across the full day when fit, staffing and availability are confirmed.
Care availability and office hours are different
Peacemaker care may be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET. Scheduling and coordination outside office hours depend on the active care plan.
Planning extended coverage
Use the private weekly estimator to map the days and uncovered time blocks your family wants to discuss before asking about an extended schedule.
- Clarify which hours truly need a caregiver
- Identify the personal-care, companionship and household routines in each part of the day
- Plan family communication and access to the home
- Confirm how handoffs and schedule changes will be coordinated
Important: Peacemaker typically plans about three weeks ahead. A phone consultation and in-home assessment come before caregiver matching and a confirmed schedule. Start timing depends on assessed needs and caregiver availability. Peacemaker is not an on-call, same-day or emergency service.

Questions about extended & 24/7 care
Does 24/7 availability mean care can start immediately?
No. It describes care availability, not a guaranteed start time. The location, needs, requested hours and staffing must be confirmed first.
Is overnight care medical monitoring?
No. Peacemaker's overnight care remains non-medical and follows the approved care plan.
Can a schedule change later?
Yes. Tell the care team when needs or timing change so availability and the plan can be reviewed.
