RECOVERY & POST-HOSPITAL SUPPORT
Practical help while home routines are getting back on track.
Coming home from a hospital stay can leave a family with practical questions about meals, bathing and time alone. Peacemaker provides planned, non-medical help with daily routines in Louisville and surrounding areas while clinical care stays with the licensed medical team.
THE SHORT ANSWER
What families should know first
Recovery support helps with non-clinical daily activities, meals, companionship, personal routines and household tasks while the person follows instructions from their licensed medical team.

What remains with the medical team

Prepare before the first visit
Have the discharge instructions available for the family and licensed clinicians, but use the website form only for basic contact and scheduling information. During the consultation, we will clarify which requested tasks fit non-medical care.
Important: Peacemaker typically plans about three weeks ahead. A phone consultation and in-home assessment come before caregiver matching and a confirmed schedule. Start timing depends on assessed needs and caregiver availability. Peacemaker is not an on-call, same-day or emergency service.

Questions about recovery support
Can care start the day someone comes home?
Peacemaker does not offer same-day, on-call or emergency dispatch. We typically plan about three weeks ahead. An in-home assessment, caregiver matching and confirmed staffing come before an agreed start date.
Will a Peacemaker caregiver provide therapy exercises?
Peacemaker does not provide therapy. Any activity in the non-medical care plan must stay within the caregiver's approved role and the instructions families receive from licensed providers.
Can recovery support be short term?
Yes. Tell us the expected schedule and how long support may be needed; we will discuss current fit and availability.
