CAREGIVER MATCHING & OVERSIGHT
A care plan works better when the match is personal.
A caregiver spends time in the routines that matter most. Peacemaker considers the person's interests, communication preferences, daily routine, requested support and schedule when making a match.
THE SHORT ANSWER
What families should know first
Caregiver matching starts with the person's routines and the approved tasks. The caregiver is oriented to that plan, and Peacemaker stays involved as needs or schedules change.
What informs a caregiver match
- The approved non-medical tasks
- The person's routine and communication style
- Personality and household preferences
- Schedule, location and current caregiver availability
- Relevant experience for the requested support
Orientation to the care plan
Caregivers are oriented to the approved plan before service begins. The plan gives practical direction about routines, responsibilities, boundaries and family communication.
Questions families should ask
- How is caregiver continuity handled for this schedule?
- What happens if a caregiver cannot make a shift?
- Who should I contact about a schedule change?
- How will updates be shared with the family?
- What should I do if the care need changes?
- Which tasks are outside Peacemaker's non-medical scope?
Important: Ask the care coordinator about the screening, preparation and experience relevant to your requested support, and confirm how updates and schedule changes will be handled.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions about caregiver matching & oversight
Can we share personality preferences?
Yes. Communication style, routine, interests and household preferences can help Peacemaker understand the match the family is seeking.
What if the match is not working?
Contact the Peacemaker care team. The concern should be reviewed directly so the plan, communication or match can be addressed.
Are caregivers nurses?
Peacemaker provides non-medical home care. A caregiver's prior background does not change the approved non-medical scope of Peacemaker services.
