FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions families ask before care begins.

Do you charge extra for insurance paperwork?

No. Peacemaker helps long-term-care insurance clients complete insurer-required service paperwork at no additional charge.

Does that mean my policy will pay for care?

Not necessarily. Coverage, benefit triggers, elimination periods, provider requirements and reimbursement vary by policy and insurer. Your insurer makes the coverage and claim decisions.

Should I send my full policy through the web form?

No. Use the form for a short care inquiry and do not include private medical details. Our team can explain the appropriate next step for any documents.

How quickly can care begin?

We plan care about three weeks ahead. After a phone consultation and in-home assessment with a care questionnaire, we finalize upcoming-week requests by Wednesday and lock schedules with matched caregivers on Thursday. Care generally begins Sunday or Monday of the following week once the assessment and staffing are confirmed. Peacemaker is not an on-call, same-day or emergency service; insurance coverage and reimbursement remain the insurer’s decisions.
